ISO 41001:2018 standard for organizational infrastructure management systems
In this article, We talk about the ISO 41001 certificate. What are the standards of ISO 41001? and what are the requirements and the instructions for use?

Over the past decades, the concept of facility management (FM), covering the coordination of the use of resources such as real estate and auxiliary equipment, has been adopted by entities in a variety of sectors: from retail trade to industrial production.
Consulting firm CBRE predicts that by 2025, the total cost of an organization’s increasingly complex infrastructure management processes will be $1 trillion – and that’s just what is outsourced.
To address the need from various stakeholders for a unified and internationally recognized set of guidelines for the deployment of such tools, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) recently published a new standard, ISO 41001:2018, Organizational Infrastructure Management – Management Systems.
Requirements and instructions for use.”
According to the document, organizations of relevant services and service providers in the field of infrastructure management of the organization should communicate with each other and with other interested parties using common principles, concepts, and terms, including the concept of performance measurement in a globally competitive environment. The standard also specifies requirements for an organization’s infrastructure system in the following situations:
a) When an organization needs to demonstrate the effectiveness of providing infrastructure management services that meet the organization’s objectives;
b) When the organization aims to continually meet the relevant needs of interested parties and applicable requirements;
c) When an organization strives to be sustainable in a globally competitive environment.
The requirements specified in the text of ISO 41001 certification are non-sectoral and apply to all organizations or their divisions, whether public or private sector entities. These requirements remain relevant regardless of the type, size, and nature of the organization or its geographical location.
The newly published document complements the growing library of relevant international standards previously prepared and published by the independent non-governmental organization ISO.
This organization published two relevant standards in April 2017 (ISO 41011:2017 Organizational Infrastructure Management – Vocabulary and ISO 41012:2017 Organizational Infrastructure Management – Guidance on Strategic Sourcing and Development of Agreements. The third relevant document (ISO/TR 41013:2017 Organizational Infrastructure Management – Scope, Key Concepts and Benefits) was published in July 2017 However,
ISO 41001, in turn, brings together several previously published regional and national standards prepared by ISO partners. Significant contributions to its creation were made by the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), which has been 4 decades of collaboration with stakeholders around the world to create, publish, and support global standards.
