7 Best TMNT Appearances In Other Video Games

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been in a lot of games, but they’ve also shown up in some strange places.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were very famous in the early 1990s. After that, it was hard to stay away from them. There were a lot of great comic books in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, which quickly led to an animated show, live-action movies, and a popular arcade game with the same name.
During the 1990s, the Turtles stayed the main characters in their own games. It would be another twenty years before they made an appearance in another game. It’s cool to see Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo in other places, but the quality of these cameos changes based on the world they appear in.
Smite

Smite was first released in 2014, and it still gets new content and improvements. In this well-known MOBA, you can play as mythical characters and team up with other players to win in the PvP games. There are a lot of crossovers between Smite and other brands, like Transformers, Stranger Things, and of course, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The characters are also very interesting.
You can see gods like Zeus, Ares, and Tyr fought by Donatello, Raphael, Leonardo, and Michelangelo in this group project. It’s too bad that the Turtles aren’t their own figures; they’re just skins for other gods. For a season, it was fun to see loading screens that were based on Krang and the TMNT, but later pairings quickly made that less important.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5

Longtime fans of the series often avoid Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 because it has boring stages and terrible gameplay. It didn’t feel like the other games in the series, and Activision tried to make everyone happy by adding famous skaters like Tyler, the Creator and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles after the game came out.
The free update was nice, but adding these figures didn’t fix the really bad things about Pro Skater 5. Some people find it fun to control a Turtle as they skate around Los Angeles or Outer Space, but the fun ends quickly when you get stuck on a wall and can’t move.
Street Fighter 6

There have been many fighting games with the Ninja Turtles, but none of them are as popular or important as Street Fighter. Ninja Turtles and Street Fighter were both very famous in 2023, so it made a lot of sense for them to work together to make Street Fighter 6. Donatello, Raphael, Leonardo, and Michelangelo are all Ninja Turtles.
The Turtles are costumes for your World Tour avatar and custom fighters, and they need to be bought separately. It would have been great if they had their own character spots. Because each turtle costs $15, you may have to be picky about which ones you buy to save money. It’s cool to see them here, but it would have been even better to see them in a bigger light.
Nickelodeon Kart Racers 1 – 3

Nintendo hasn’t put out a new Mario Kart game since 2014, even though Mario Kart 8 Deluxe came out for the Switch in 2017. Since Mario Kart 9 isn’t out anymore, other games, like Final Fantasy, have been able to compete for the title of best kart racing game. Nickelodeon also joined the fight, putting out three different shows from 2018 to 2022.
There are a lot of Nickelodeon figures in all three games. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are among them. The first game got bad reviews for having a terrible look, being boring to play, and not having any voice acting. Most of these problems were fixed in the sequels, and Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway was the first game to have voice acting. This lets the Ninja Turtles show off one of their best qualities: their personalities.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has a few Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that don’t really bring out their best. The whole group is not available to choose from like other items on this list. Leonardo, Michelangelo, April O’Neil, and Shredder are all on the list, but Donatello and Raphael don’t even show up for a short time.
One of the few games with voice acting for the Ninja Turtles is also this one. It took some time to be added to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, but it’s made playing as either Turtle a lot more fun since early June 2022. There are also several TMNT stages that will make any fan jump off the couch with joy. Rooftop Rumble, Sewers Slam, and Technodrome Takedown are all fun games that remind me of the original show and have great music in the background.
Brawlhalla

You can tell which Ninja Turtle is which by the color of their mask and the tool they use. You might easily be drawn to Donatello’s bō staff if you like to stay away from enemies. Or, Raphael’s twin sai might be more your style if you like to get close and hit hard and quickly. The Ninja Turtles are great for fighting games because of these tools, and Brawlhalla is one of many games that has them.
Like Basket Random, Brawlhalla is known for events and characters from other worlds coming together. Through special events, you can now play as characters from Shovel Knight, The Walking Dead, and other shows. The makers usually add a lot of cosmetics and references to go with them. The Ninja Turtles copy the moves of other Brawlhalla characters, but they still stand out more and eat more pizza than in Smite or Nickelodeon Kart Racers.
Injustice 2

NetherRealm Studios has regularly released DLC characters after the launch of both Mortal Kombat and Injustice to keep you interested in the games and make them last longer in the competitive scene. Except for Scorpion’s brief appearance, the DLC characters for the first Injustice game stayed in the DC world.Hellboy and all four Ninja Turtles were added to Injustice 2 so that they could fight figures like Superman and Wonder Woman, and it works a lot better than it should.
One of the fighter select screens has a slot for the Turtles. You can switch between the four of them by changing the usual weapon in the Customize Characters tab. They each fight in their own way, but they work together to beat anyone who stands in their way. They have funny intros and endings, and they joke around with other players. If you play the arcade mode with them, you can see an ending with Harley Quinn at a crazy pizza party.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles might not be the best fighters in Injustice 2, but their funny moves and unique ways of playing make them an important part of the game’s cast.
