Delhi to Chopta (Tungnath) by Bike

In Uttarakhand’s Garhwal Himalayas, Tungnath is one of the world’s tallest Shiva temples. It begins the trail to Chandrashila, a peak with breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks. Biking from Delhi to Tungnath is an exhilarating journey through some of India’s most spectacular scenery.

Day 1

Leave Delhi early and travel to Haridwar. You can pause at Haridwar to see the nighttime aarti ceremony at the Har ki Pauri ghat. Proceed onward towards Rishikesh. Since Rishikesh can be reached in one to two days and offers a variety of adventure sports like river rafting, bungee jumping, and cliff diving, it has long been considered one of Delhi’s most popular weekend getaway destinations. You can reserve an additional day to visit Rishikesh if you haven’t gone before and would like to take in the subdued beauty of the ghats, Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, and the world-famous river rafting. You should spend the night in Rishikesh, in my opinion. The following day, proceed to the destination.

Day 2

Unending Calm A little town on the Alaknanda River, Devprayag is one of the Panch Prayags in the Tehri Garhwal district. The confluence of the joyous River Alaknanda and the placid River Bhagirathi is a well-known holy site. The spectacular result of these two rivers coming together is the Ganges, which is regarded as the longest river in India. If traveling through Srinagar in the evening, you could pause here for a bite. You can find an ATM or fill up your tank here.
